November 2-12, 2000
From November 2 to 12, 2000, the Festival explores "NOW!", the rich tapestry weaving in one beautiful fabric what's hot, what's needed, and who's making what happen where. Programs of art, music, literature, dance, theatre and poetry, as well as discussions religion, anthropology, public policy, and the law are featured. "While the Festival liberal arts degrees...the accumulated buzz in the brain at the close of the marathon learn-in is bound to supply its own rewards," wrote Chicago Sun-Times critic Hedy Weiss.
