Festival Program
Women in the 19th century had a very narrow definition of home available to them—unless they made their home on the stage. For the Festival’s opening performance, join women from the renowned Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble for readings of letters, diaries, and essays by the "first ladies" of the theatrical world at the turn of the last century—including such luminaries as Sarah Bernhardt, Ellen Terry, and Eleonora Duse. Written and directed by Steppenwolf’s Curt Columbus. With Rondi Reed, Martha Lavey, and Jessica Thebus.
Generously sponsored by American Airlines.
FREE reception following the program.
