Chicago Humanities Festival serves up 2005 annual meeting with "Words and Music"

The Chicago Humanities Festival enthusiastically invites friends and supporters to its mid-summer 2005 Annual Meeting: Come Rain or Come Shine at Northwestern University, Norris Center (McCormick Auditorium – 1999 S. Campus Drive, Evanston) on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 for an informative and entertaining celebration of the brilliance of American composer Harold Arlen. No matter the weather, we hope to see everyone there!
Festivities start at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails, followed at 6:00 p.m. by a brisk discussion of the CHF’s recent accomplishments and activities. Then, guests will enjoy a special live, 45-minute “Words and Music” performance by the internationally syndicated radio personalities Bill Sheldon, Spider Saloff, and Jeremy Kahn as they examine Arlen’s fruitful partnerships with some of the 20th century’s greatest lyricists. A scrumptious outdoor lawn barbecue follows – the perfect time to catch up with friends!
Admission to the CHF Annual Meeting is $50, which includes cocktails, the meeting, performance, and dinner. Reservations are required. Please contact Eric at , ext 18, or for reservations. The film screening is free of charge. Proceeds from the evening support the Festival’s fall program effort.
