The Chicago Humanities Festival announced today, Thursday February 24, 2005, that its president and executive producer, Eileen R. Mackevich, has resigned. In 16 years, Eileen Mackevich has built the Chicago Humanities Festival into one of the country's premier cultural organizations, one unique in its scope and that has developed a renowned national and international reputation.
Peter Kuntz, the current Associate Producer, Director of Marketing and Communications, has been appointed by the Board of Directors as Acting President of the Festival. A national search for a new president will commence immediately.
