Jeanette Winterson - Lighthousekeeping
04/12/2005

Jeanette Winterson - Lighthousekeeping The 2005 Chicago Humanities Festival proudly presents the celebrated British writer Jeanette Winterson for a reading and discussion of her newest novel, Lighthousekeeping (2005). Winterson’s latest work is told through the eyes of Silver, an insightful orphan who, after losing her home, is taken in by the ancient and eccentric Mr. Pew, keeper of the Cape Wrath lighthouse. A luminous and enlightening fable, Lighthousekeeping brilliantly depicts a modern allegory about the transformative and rejuvenating powers of storytelling. This presentation is one of many exploring the 2005 CHF theme of Home and Away.

Winterson presents her new novel on Tuesday, April 12, at 6:00 p.m. at Northwestern University School of Law, Thorne Auditorium, 375 E. Chicago Ave. Book sales and signing immediately follow the program. Admission is FREE. For reservations, please call the CHF ticket office at .
