One of public radio’s most familiar voices, Lyden has reported from nearly everywhere — from Northern Ireland to Syria and back. Who better to convey the dizzying if rewarding experience of the foreign correspondent capturing events and making an impact at home? Lyden’s NPR career began in Chicago; now a senior correspondent and memoirist (Daughter of the Queen of Sheba) she returns for a discussion with Chicago Sun-Times publisher John Cruickshank.
