In the early 1990s, Venkatesh, director of Columbia U.’s Center for Urban Research and Policy, lived with several families in the Robert Taylor Homes on Chicago’s south side. The result was Dislocation, a candid documentary film following project residents as they relocate to new neighborhoods. Venkatesh introduces his film and takes questions afterwards.
