Festival Program
Walk, bike, ride, or fly—how we get around says a lot about who we are and how we look. Come explore the history of travel wear through images and stories of clothing from the permanent collection at the Chicago Historical Society. Timothy Long, assistant curator at the CHS, speaks about travel-wear from the late 19th century through the present day. Lisa Lenoir of the Chicago Sun-Times then addresses current trends, followed by a fashion show featuring exciting new work by up-and-coming Chicago designers.
Presented in partnership with the Costume Council of the Chicago Historical Society and the Apparel Industry Board, Inc.
